my obsession seems to take a new lengths as the days go by. I have been meaning to share this fashionization awhile back but here a handful of looks from IRO's fall09 and spring10 lookbook.
i love the simple-ness, chic-ness, and slight edge to all these looks. push and pull with masculine and feminine ideas.
what i wear these days (literally sporting the grey jacket over and over again):
low-slung trousers say relaxed but still very put together.
what i will be wearing shortly (when weather permits):
shorts are flirty but not too tight that they are inappropriate.
what i aspire to pull off:
leather is sexy baby.
simple staples:
me and thigh-high anything goes hand in hand.
my spring inspirations:
neutral palates done well.

color theme?
my recent purchases: do you see a running theme?
i don't really know myself if it is a conscious decision or not when i shop but i have been obsessed with this beige/taupe color to complete my nude look.
my friends and family have actually identified me with this color as well. in january i received the chanel particuliere nail polish (pictured below) from my roommate AND my sister. both of them mentioned that it reminded them of me. i love the idea that people can be identified as colors. which color would you be?

you twisted trench!
of course every gal dreams of owning a beautiful classic piece that is MUST in any woman's closet (in my opinion, clearly): the burberry trench.
being a plain jane gal myself- i absolutely love the simple and classic cuts that burberry has consistantly provided to us throughout the years. but OH me, oh MY!! i am thoroughly impressed with the burberry prorsum spring '10 collection of a slight 'twist' (pun intended) on the classic tradition.
here are a few notable:
1. twist on bottom:
- elegantly tailored to look like a skirt and trench-in-one! to DIE for!
2. twisted shoulders:
- i absolutely LOVE the strong shoulders here, done with such feminine ideas of the nice pleats/layering + the softness in the purple color! definitely reminiscent of balmain but still very subtle while maintaining true to burberry. also highly coveted!
other fashionizing desires:
3. twisted nude dress:
- i always love a nude dress that is simple and makes you look fabulously naked without actually being naked. (reference- SATC "naked dress")
4. twisted skirt:
- this skirt is an art piece in itself. although the skirt may appear to have delicate drapery- it is very structured. i love the illusion it creates. you can pretty much pair it with any blouse, simple T, camis...etc etc. basically i need...now.
how it looked on the runway:
i applaud you mr. christopher bailey. you did good.
